In her role as Volunteer and Outreach Manager, April is considered the CEO of overseeing the volunteer program and is in charge of recruiting and training tournament volunteers. April has a passion for working with volunteers and loves to help others find the best way to give their talents and service to the organization.

Prior to coming on board at Chicago Debates, April worked in the Volunteer Services Department at an LGBTQ healthcare organization and for a women’s interim housing organization where she focused on increasing volunteer recruitment and establishing a corporate volunteer program within each organization.

April is a graduate of Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania and is currently pursuing her Certification in Volunteer Administration. April is a current member of the Association of Volunteer Administrators – Metro Chicago and enjoys volunteering with youth focused organizations.
