Program Officer for Tournament Operations

Christine is the Program Officer for Tournament Operations. In this role, Christine is considered the CEO of making sure tournaments are organized and run efficiently. She also oversees the Qualitative Assessment Project and is responsible for collecting data that can be used by coaches to advance specific debate skill areas to increase the benefits of each debate practice.

Christine cares about helping students find a way to think critically and empower them to use their voice to make positive changes to the world around them. She has been a part of the Chicago Debates team in various roles since 2013. She has been actively and continuously involved in the Chicago debate community for the past 15 years, first as a debater, then as a coach while she was getting a B.A. in Psychology and Sociology from Northwestern University, and now as a member of the programming staff of Chicago Debates. She has coached debate at numerous schools in Chicago including her alma mater, Lane Tech.

Christine has recently changed her name after she married the love of her life this past summer.
