Davis Sullivan is the Development Associate at Chicago Debates. In this role, he serves as the CEO of writing and submitting proposals for grant funding from foundations and corporations. He also leads efforts to improve and maintain Chicago Debates’ internal database of supporters.
Davis’s work for Chicago Debates is motivated by his desire to spend his time advancing social and economic equality, his gratitude for the educational opportunities made available to him as a young person, and his love of good storytelling. Prior to joining Chicago Debates in March of 2019, Davis worked in nonprofit development roles with the arts education organization Muse Machine in his hometown of Dayton, Ohio, as well at the free legal services provider LAF here in Chicago.
Davis graduated in 2017 from Ohio University, where he earned a BA in economics. In his spare time, Davis is a passionate music fan, a voracious consumer of YouTube cooking videos, and a fair-weather runner.
